This new group of plates inspired by onions started during lockdown when it was easy to focus on the tiny things.
I love the colour and texture of terracotta clay – the warmth of the red is such an ancient earth colour.
My new work follows a theme of growth above and below ground. Bulbs and roots, stems and shoots all feature in a dizzying spurt of verdant growth.
